Dr. Francis Valloor is a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of professional experience in psychotherapy, training and supervision, assessment, as well as 45 years in practice and teaching Mindfulness/Awareness.

He is also an international speaker and author who has been conducting workshops, seminars and courses in Ireland, India, UK and USA.

Having completed his doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the School of Professional

Psychology, Wright State University (USA), followed by work experience in USA and post-doctoral training with special emphasis on psychopharmacology.

He has undergone training and certification in a variety of approaches and interventions such as

Focusing, Holotropic Breathwork, Eriksonian Hypnosis, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and

Reprocessing), Victim Support Training, and Human Sexuality. He has received broad training in somatic psychology and body-oriented approaches to healing such as Trauma-Release Exercises,

Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Somato-Emotional Release, Braddock Body Process, Formative Psychology,

Lomi Somatics, Bioenergetics, Gestalt Body Work and Bio-Psychology and incorporates them in his work with groups and individuals.

He has also explored the relationship between psychotherapy and spirituality and undergone extensive training in Eastern spirituality, particularly in the meditative approaches of Vipassana, Yoga and Zen and has used Mindfulness and CBT extensively in his work.

Other areas of special interest include mysticism, psychological dimensions of spirituality and the use of dreams and imagery in healing.

Residing in Dublin, Francis maintains a private practice to offer psychological and psychotherapeutic services to individuals, couples and groups.

He is exceptionally skilled in trauma work (PTSD), grief and loss, anxiety and depression and relationship problems. Of special interest are also individuals with sleep problems, stress and burnout, and psycho-spiritual crises.

In order to address the needs of his clients, he employs a variety of therapeutic interventions such as

EMDR, CBT, dreamwork, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness and body-oriented approaches. All these skills are made effective by his accepting and compassionate attitude for all his clients.

    Great article, meditation has changed my life dramatically.

    I have been practising Global Light Meditation. This is a meditation done from the space of our own homes, collectively we all meditate simultaneously! Bring love healing and light to mother earth.
